Reverend Henry Jardine Bidder was an Alpine gardener. He was active in the late-19th and early-20th centuries and his work is known to have influenced both Reginald Farrer and Ellen Wilmott. A fellow of St. John's College, Oxford, in 1893 he built a rock garden in the college grounds.
