Harry Baldwin was contracts manager for the land team within the County Architect's Department of Somerset County Council from 1965 to 1982. He was part of the team that initiated the restoration of the Formal Garden at Hestercombe House in 1973, working in particular on the recreation of the original Gertrude Jekyll planting scheme.
Prior to his time at Somerset County Council, Mr Baldwin was a manager for Carter's Seeds in Cheshire.
