David Ridall Roper

David Riddall Roper was an architect and surveyor active, particularly in London and in the south-east of England, in the late-18th and early to mid-19th centuries. He was born in 1774 and from 1792 to 1795 was articled to Samuel Robertson. Roper exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1797 to 1822 and in 1813 served as president of the Surveyor's Club. He was the father of architects David and Joshua Roper and died on 11 April 1855.
