Daniel Ferguson

Daniel Ferguson was a designer active in the mid-19th century. He was born around 1801 and by 1820 was working at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens in Scotland. From 1836 to 1864 Ferguson was the Curator of Belfast Botanic Gardens in Ireland.

Ferguson is noted for being the first to bring to flower in Ireland at mid-century certain species of plant and for his landscaping the grounds of Magee College in Londonderry. He died in July 1864.
