Andrew Handyside was a manufacturer, iron founder and engineer active in the 19th century. In 1848 he bought the Britannia Iron Works in Derby and founded Handyside Foundary. Famous for its classical fountains, busts and garden vases, the quality of its castings was exceptional. In 1873 its first catalogue was published.
