  • England , Greater London

    Both buildings were designed with roof gardens and that of the Private Patients Block, Mapother House, survived with its original structure intact, including statuary, wooden benches, planters and raised grass plots. It was awaiting restoration in 2002 and its current state is not known.

  • England , Basingstoke

    This site has a series of roof gardens and perimeter landscaping for Gateway House (now Mountbatten House) created by Arup Associates’ Group 2 and the landscape gardener James Russell for the paper manufacturer and merchant Wiggins Teape in 1974-76.

  • England , Kensington and Chelsea

    A roof garden constructed 1936-1938 by Ralph Hancock, occupying 0.6 hectares on the roof of the former Derry and Toms Department Store in Kensington High Street. The tripartite gardens (Spanish, English and Tudor) form part of the design concept of the building.
