Brief description of site

An 18th-century French style formal garden with canal which has recently been restored. The garden now also has a woodland area and bowling green.

Brief history of site

The formal gardens were landscaped before 1730. They fell into poor repair during the late 18th century when the original great house was also pulled down.

The garden was expanded in 1928 and restoration began in 1964.
