Brief description of site

At Raglan Castle the layout of a 16th- and early 17th-century garden survives. The terraced gardens were among the most sophisticated of their day in the country. Originally the gardens included a lake in the valley bottom and a formal water parterre. A raised bowling green and a moat walk survive.
