Narrative:

Isaac de Caus (Caux) was a garden designer, architect and engineer active in the 17th century.

He was born in Dieppe, France around 1589 to 1590, the relative, possibly the nephew, of French garden designer and hydraulic engineer, Salomon de Caus (Caux) (born around 1576, died 1626). 

De Caus (Caux) was working in England by about the early-1620s and in 1634 became naturalized here. He died in Paris and was buried on 24 February 1648 in the city's Huguenot cemetery.
