Frederic Chancellor was an English architect active, especially in England in Chelmsford, Essex and in London, from the mid-19th century until his death in 1918.
Chancellor is noted particularly for his work on churches and workhouses, especially in Chelmsford. He was the father of architect Frederic Wykeham Chancellor (born 1865, died 1945) who was first articled to him from 1885 to 1889, then became his assistant until 1893, and was later taken into partnership. Chancellor died in 1918, his son continued on the practice thereafter.
