Olympics threat to historic trees

Trees in Greenwich Park dating from the reign of Charles II may be cut down to make way for an equestrian course for the 2012 Olympics.

The 180-acre royal park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has been chosen to host the Three-Day Event at the 2012 Olympics. But campaigners say the park is too small and that historic remains will be destroyed.
