4) Resources: Grant conditions

Grant conditions

The grant of £1,000,000 is offered provided the following conditions are met.

The proposals for the park must:

  • Develop facilities for people of all ages.

  • Attract more and different groups to use the park regularly.

  • Allow people with a range of disabilities enjoy and participate.

  • Encourage community involvement in the running of the park and its facilities.

  • Increase opportunities for volunteers.

  • Offer training opportunities for young people.

  • Help people understand the importance of the park and its history.

  • Support local wildlife.

  • Ensure that some new facilities or enterprises in the park raise revenue to help with the park's running costs.

  • Be ecologically sound, environmentally conscious and energy efficient.
